Tera Patrick

After winning the "Best New American Starlet" award at the Hot d'Or 2000 in Cannes Tera Patrick counts among the most popular up-and-coming porn stars. Born to parents of British and Thai heritage, Tera came to international attention with her award-winning "Virtual Sex with..."-DVD produced by Digital Playground. She has starred in two dozen porn movies, sometimes using the aliases "Sadie Jordan" and "Brooke Thomas". Tera started at age 13 as a model. A self-proclaimed "snotty punk-girl" as a kid, she financed her university studies by strutting down the catwalk. Tera is a trained nurse and has a degree in microbiology. After five years as a professional model she entered the Xbiz, debuting with Andrew Blake's "Aroused" (and miscredited in the opening titles as "Tara Patrick"). In 1992 Tiffany Mynx would have never thought that she would spend the next ten years of her life in the Xbiz. Back then she was a single parent who had run away from home at the age of 17 and ended up in an abusive relationship with the man whose child she had born. Tom Byron

Texas born Tom Byron, the star of close to 2000 movies, is a self-proclaimed white trash poster boy. When he was 18 years old he moved from Houston to L.A. where he worked at an adult store. In 1982, he rang the doorbell of Jim South's World Modeling agency, the industry's leading supplier of fresh meat. Tom had just turned 21 and with Jim South's help he landed roles in Bobby Hollander's movie 'Anything Goes 19' and the Marylin Chambers vehicle 'Up & Cumming'. Together with Peter North and Marc Wallace, Tom ranks among the most popular male stars of the 80's. Between 1982 and 1990, he starred in more than 1000 adult movies. It was during that time that he met Traci Lords. The two of them even shared bed. Their relationship crumbled when Traci's cover was blown and she was found out to be underage. The ensuing media frenzy and the DA's investigation almost brought the industry to its knees. Tom still swears he did not know Traci's real age back then. In 1991, the IRS paid Tom an unwelcome visit. He was facing jail time for tax evasion. Tom managed to escape the rope by starring in 250 movies in the same year, consequently paying off his debt. By the end of '92 he was burned out and ready to quit the adult industry. For about a year he cruised the L.A. rock scene, growing his hair long and looking for gigs as a musician. Nobody seemed to care much for his act though. So he returned to his core business in 1993, cut off his hair and grew a goatee instead. In 1997, he signed an exclusive contract with Patrick Collins' company 'Elegant Angel'. He was to direct a series called 'Cumback Pussy'. One year later, Tom left the company together with Rob Black and Van Damage and the three of them set up their own renegade enterprise: 'Extreme Associates'. Tiffany Mynx became their first contract girl and Byron subsequently directed the 'Lord of Asses', 'Whack Attack' and 'Planet of the Gapes' series. Together with his loyal buddy Rob Black he founded 'Xtreme Pro Wrestling' (XPW), which has by now become one of the leading organizations in the world of wrestling. Both AVN Awards and the XRCO have inducted Tom into their Halls of Fame.

Vince Vouyer

If you ask his fans Vince Vouyer is the best-looking dude in porn. The short but muscle-packed New England native started out in the Xbiz in 1994. In the following six years he starred in far more than a thousand adult movies. He directs for his own label 'Vouyer Productions' which is distributed via 'Red Light District'. Vince who changed the "u" in his name to avoid legal conflicts with a production company called "Voyeur Pictures" moved to California in 1989 where he worked as a mechanic by day and as a stripper by night. His colleague Alicia Rio introduced him to an L.A. based producer who hired Vince on the spot. Some of his early stints as an actor can be seen in Randy West's "Up & Cummers" series. In 1996 Vince was convicted of pimping and had to spend months in a work-furlough program. His ex-girlfriend Crystal Gold was one of the key witnesses. Vince's love relationships with industry women (Jill Kelly, Shelby Stevens) have been shaky and usually broke up within months. Today Vince lives on a ranch in California's San Fernando Valley.
